- 1/2 bag of tortilla chips
- 1 lb ground beef
- 13 oz salsa or spaghetti sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 red pepper, chopped
- 1 can of mushrooms, drained
- 1 1/2 cups of grated marble/ cheddar cheese or 1 1/2 cups of Cheeze Whiz
In skillet, brown beef, onion, green and red peppers and mushrooms. Lay out tortilla chips on cookie sheet or 9x13 inch pan (don't layer chips, but make sure bottom is completely covered). Add salsa or spaghetti sauce to ground beef mixture, and cover the chips with the ground beef mixture. Cover with Cheese Whiz or grated cheese. Bake at 400*F until cheese is melted.
Instead of using spaghetti sauce, I used the salsa
Instead of using Cheese Whiz, I used grated cheese
I absolutely LOVE nachos. These look completely delicious, I'll be sure to try this dish. :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks really good, can't wait to try cooking it for myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you used salsa and grated cheese instead of spaghetti sauce and cheese whiz. I bet the salsa gave it a good bit of spice.
ReplyDeleteThe spaghetti sauce and cheese whiz would have definitely made it taste a bit weird
